Applications include leading edge technology and next generation power requirements in industries such as alternate energy (wind, solar, fuel cell), datacenter and server power supply design and electrical distribution, electric vehicles, LED lighting, and battery charging.

As an Engineering Designer, you will play a crucial role in the development and realization cable assembly products, contributing to the success of our organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, utilize advanced design tools, and apply engineering fundamentals to bring ideas from concept to production.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create new 3D models and detailed drawings for cable assemblies
  • Review specifications and requirements from Product Manager
  • Collaborate with Design Engineers to verify design intent
  • Support Design Engineers by updating or creating drawings for new products
  • Manage Sales, Component, Assembly drawings in Adept PDM
  • Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) for cable assemblies.
  • Generate specifications for cable assembly components.
  • Specify packaging instructions and integrate them into drawings or supporting documentation
  • Create Engineering Change Requests and work with functional groups to ensure closure
  • Work with Quality Compliance to determine the requirements for Agency approval
  • Collaborate with external testing facilities when testing requirements surpasses in-house capabilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Vocational tech, Trade School in drafting is preferred or Associate degree in Engineering or equivalent
  • Strong communication skills; both verbal and written
  • Proficiency with Solidworks 3D modeling, assemblies and drawings
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Able to manage priorities and meet timelines
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems and make informed decisions relating to area of responsibility.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft software packages

The expected annual salary for this position is between $66,932.00 and $90,023.00. This range represents a good faith estimate for the position and actual compensation will be based on numerous factors including knowledge, location, skills, training and experience.
