We are seeking a highly organized and service-oriented Executive Assistant to the Dean of the College of Business and Entrepreneurship. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with excellent clerical and interpersonal skills, a strong understanding of university procedures, and a commitment to professionalism and confidentiality. This position is perfect for someone who thrives in providing exceptional service to students, faculty, and stakeholders, and values hospitality, collaboration, and impact.
Responsibilities include:

  • Manage the Dean's calendar and travel arrangements, coordinating and booking flights and hotels.
  • Coordinate College events and handle logistical communications with internal and external vendors and partners
  • Organize meetings, events, and peer review team visits
  • Provide administrative and customer service support for programming and outreach activities which enhance student success
  • Draft and distribute professional correspondence and other documentation on behalf of the Dean and the College
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for faculty, students, staff, visitors, and external partners, providing excellent customer service and directing inquiries to appropriate personnel
  • Provide information and communication regarding College policies, procedures, and program information to students, faculty, staff, and other stakeholders
  • Manage the College's social media profiles and oversee all communications and announcements shared via social media
  • Maintain physical and digital records and filing systems for the department, including student and faculty files, accreditation documentation, and budget tracking
  • Gather data and create reports or presentations as requested, while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information and adhering to FERPA standards

Minimum Experience/Education

  • High school diploma or equivalency and three years of progressively responsible administrative/office management experience;
  • Or Associate's degree in secretarial science, business administration, or a related discipline and one year of progressively responsible administrative/office management experience;
  • Or Bachelor's degree, preferably in business administration or a related discipline; or equivalent combination of training and experience.


All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education

  • Five to seven years of administrative experience in the field of higher education
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally and build relationships with students, staff, and other visitors with a variety of backgrounds
  • Experience with Ellucian Banner and PeopleAdmin will be highly valued
