Job Summary

This Analytical & Quality Control Chemist II position will bridge the gap between R&D Formulations and Compliance, ensuring that our household pesticide formulations (aerosols, baits, liquids, and repellents) are effective, stable, and meet stringent regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for running analytical methods, conducting stability studies, and ensuring that every new product meets our high-quality benchmarks before being released for EPA registration under guidance of a lead Chemist. This position will support the R&D Formulation teams and R&D Analytical team.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Please Note: This role is anticipated to be a 12-month limited term employment (LTE) opportunity.

Anticipated start date: Early April, 2026

* Support product development projects for new and existing EPA-registered consumer pesticide (insecticides, herbicides or fungicides)
* Conduct and document laboratory studies in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
* Carry out active ingredient analysis using HPLCs and GC in support of stability studies
* Conduct stability studies monitoring for formulation (physical & chemical) and primary packaging changes to determine product shelf life and packaging stability
* Ensure all technical data meets high scientific standards, providing clear analysis and summaries to support new product development
* Evaluate existing products to adapt to new regulations or raw material changes
* Collaborate with internal R&D teams to fulfill all product exploration and testing requirements
* Log and compile stability data into cohesive reports
* Assist in the entries and maintenance of R&D databases
* Maintain a detailed laboratory notebook for all projects

Education and Experience Profile

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Chemistry, or a related science field
  • 2-4 years of experience in Quality Control or development of herbicide, insecticide and/or fungicide products in consumer package goods preferred
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols for handling potentially hazardous substances

Required Skills

  • Knowledge of laboratory operations, equipment, and safety requirements
  • Experience running HPLC and GC (Agilent preferred)
  • Experience running consumer packaged good stability testing protocols
  • Competency in Chromatography Data Systems, (Agilent OpenLab CDS preferred)
  • Experience with Good Laboratory Practices requirements
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to think creatively and overcome obstacles
  • Excellent oral and written communication, and presentation skills
  • Flexibility in shifting among projects
  • PC skills (Spreadsheet, word processing, presentations)
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to interpret and clearly communicate results in scientific documentation
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization

Work Environment

  • 60-70% lab environment
  • 20-30% office environment
