Job Summary:

The Spice Worker positionaccurately weighs and prepares ingredients according tobatch schedulesand stagesingredientsto be usedfor further processingby performing the following duties:

Essential Functions:

• Checks/verifiesmaterials and amounts to be weighed perbatchformula.

• Scoopsorpoursingredients intomeasuringdevice for hand weighed ingredients.

• Weighs ingredients accurately following standard procedures to ensure allergens are controlledwhileusing personal protective equipment (gloves,apron, glasses, dustmask, etc.), ifrequired.

• Verifies weightsof ingredientsareaccurateand containersarelabeledthen places pre-weighed ingredients ontothedesignatedcart.

• Fills hoppers of automated system with correct ingredients using vacuum assist for lifting bags.

• Cleans work areasand equipment according to standard sanitation procedures.

• Operates electronic controls for automated weighingsystem.

• Troubleshootsautomated weighing system when issues arise.

• Will be cross trained in at least one other area to remain productive during low volume periods.

• Acquiresknowledge of Trident's Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activitiesin accordance withtraining and procedures/work instructions.

• Notifiesdesignated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented,in accordance withEnvironmental Awareness and/or safety trainings.

Thisrole is non-exempt at $20.09 to $24 per hour.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and extreme cold. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
