Position Description
| Primary Purpose and Essential Functions |
The University of the Pacific, School of Health Sciences is seeking to hire a master's degree or doctorly prepared registered nurses to join the
ELMSN program and fill a non-tenure track, position at the Assistant, Associate, or Clinical Professor rank (depending on qualifications and academic experience).
Teaching
ELMSN program content in both didactic and clinical, advising students, participation in simulation, curriculum development, interprofessional education, overseeing clinical adjuncts and placement of students in clinical agencies, managing required clinical documentation through tracking system, assisting with student and part-time faculty orientation, and accreditation preparation activities. Nursing faculty are expected to attend program, curriculum, and other campus committee meetings. Other responsibilities may include contacting clinical agencies, orienting and evaluating part- time faculty and interviewing prospective students.
Effective teaching, interprofessional collaboration, research, creative activity, and service to the University are required for retention and promotion. This is an appointment with a (3) three-year contract. Position includes use of support for research, professional development, and scholarly activities.

| Minimum Qualifications |
- Master's degree in Nursing, Public Health (MPH), Epidemiology, Population Health, or related field.
- Demonstrated field or applied experience in epidemiology, public health, population health, or health outcomes research.

| Preferred Qualifications |
- Doctoral degree (PhD, DNP, EdD, DrPH, or related).
- Experience teaching research, epidemiology, population health, evidence-based practice, or community health in higher education.
- Record of scholarship (publications, presentations, grants, quality improvement initiatives).
- Experience with data analysis, program evaluation, or community-based participatory research.
- Experience integrating population health concepts into clinical education.
- Experience in simulation, case-based learning, or innovative pedagogy.
- Experience with Canvas or other LMS platforms.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive teaching.

| Hiring Range |
$115,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year. We consider factors such as, but not limited to, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's qualifications, internal equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. |
