Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for assigned provider specialties and specialty groups
  • Maintain confidentiality when accessing data within but not limited to the following areas: financial, human resources, strategic planning, malpractice background checks, criminal background checks
  • Independently manage candidate leads, files, documents and hiring timeline
  • Work directly with Executive Team and Clinic Management to successfully recruit providers
  • Provide direction and updates to Executive Team and Clinic Management on recruitment trends
  • Initiate sourcing, lead generation and contact with providers via recruitment databases and referrals
  • Review provider CVs, profiles, background information, licensure, certification, online media and ratings to evaluate initial competency and qualifications
  • Create and manage job postings, ad campaigns and advertisements related to provider recruitment
  • Manage, review and evaluate applications
  • Conduct phone interviews with providers to confirm qualifications, eligibility, match to the organization's needs; and to engage the provider's interest
  • Coordinate and facilitate provider interviews, including but not limited to: travel, hotel accommodations, catering, community tours, department recruitment dinners, interview meeting itineraries, facility tours, physician agreement drafts, benefit reviews, transportation between meetings, travel reimbursements
  • Gather and evaluate interview feedback and reference verifications
  • Prepare physician agreement drafts, amendments, offer letters and accompanying documents
  • Prepare and negotiate employment offers and physician agreements as directed by senior leadership
  • Ensure that background verifications, new hire paperwork, system entry are completed properly for credentialing
  • Act as a back-up to Onboarding, facilitating orientations as needed
  • Participate in and represent the organization at job fairs, conferences and other special events
  • Maintain communication as point of contact and liaison between the provider and the organization
  • Support retention initiatives for new providers
  • Represent and support Mercyhealth initiatives and recruitment in a positive light
  • Continuously research ways to improve Provider Recruitment efficiency
  • Other duties as assigned by Director of Provider Recruitment & Retention

Education and Experience:

Bachelor Degree in Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, Business or related field

Certification and Licensure

*Certified Physician/Provider Recruitment Professional Certification--CPRP required within 12 months and maintained

Skills and Abilities

*Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills
*Organized and highly motivated; ability to multi-task
*Ability to work irregular hours with some travel required
