Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Reviews work orders and preventive maintenance tasks to determine work priorities.
- Schedules repair, maintenance and installation of machines, tools, and equipment by self-performance and delegation of work assignments.
- Directs maintenance activities on biomedical equipment to provide the highest standards for safety, quality, and availability of medical equipment.
- Manages CMMS database.
- Coordinates special projects.
- Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations. Directs training of workers to improve work performance and acquaint workers with Mercyhealth policies and procedures.
- Confers with Leadership, customers and quality assurance staff to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of work performance and equipment.
- Assists Manager in preparation of department budget and monitors expenditure of funds in budget.
- The Supervisor is the department representative and liaison with internal customers.

Education and Experience Associate Degree in Biomedical Engineering/Electronics or related or related Military equivalent certifications required. Three or more years of experience in BioMedical Engineering and a supervisory role in a healthcare setting. Certification and Licensure For those driving Mercyhealth vehicles: Maintain a valid driver's license. Have and maintain an acceptable driving record per Mercyhealth's HR.100 Fleet and Driver Safety policy.

Have and maintain an acceptable driving record per Mercyhealth's HR.100 Fleet and Driver Safety policy. Skills and Abilities Knowledge of test equipment and procedures. Good interpersonal/communication skills. Good interpretive/analytical skills. Familiarity with CMMS, word processing, Excel and Access. Budget/Financial skills. Generating reports, cost analysis, proposals, and evaluations. Special Physical Demands The Special Physical Demands are considered Essential Job Functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. This is considered heavy work. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Level of Supervision Work is performed according to specific procedures and methods, but the incumbent must make minor decisions using independent judgment required in order to adapt to routine situations. Supervises This employee supervises Bio-Medical Technicians. PAY RANGE:
$35.14 - $52.72
