EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or equivalent preferred Graduate of a pharmacy technician program preferred. Experience in a community pharmacy setting is preferred. CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE Pharmacy Technician Licensure required Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or Certification through NHA required. SKILLS AND ABILITIES Effective communication and customer service skills Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in using pharmacy management software and technology tools. Willingness to obtain immunization certification. SPECIAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS The Special Physical Demands are considered Essential Job Functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to feel, finger, handle, or grasp items for fine motor skills; reach with hands and arms, and talk, hear. Must be able to crouch or squat to reach items. The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. LEVEL OF SUPERVISION Work is performed according to specific procedures and methods, but the incumbent must make minor decisions in order to adapt to routine situations.
