Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Possesses core knowledge of required Radiation Therapist functions, including scheduling, simulation, patient set-up, and treatment.
- Demonstrates a functional knowledge of all major components of department equipment.
- Delivers external beam treatments in an accurate and timely fashion with a high degree of accuracy.
- Assesses and addresses patient's needs while under treatment.
- Practices appropriate Radiation Safety procedures.
- Accurate and timely completion of patient charts according to established standards and procedures.
- Demonstrates knowledge of standard and advanced treatment calculations and treatment plans.
- Designs and fabricates blocks accurately and efficiently.
- Performs Simulation with a high degree of accuracy in a timely fashion with little or no supervision.
- Utilizes appropriate scripting, barriers, and patient identifiers as required per position.

Education and Experience Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy program Experience as a radiation therapist preferred Certification and Licensure ARRT registration in radiation therapy required (or eligible upon hire and attain within one year) Approved CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days Skills and Abilities Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Good interpretive/analytical skills Strong organizational skills Ability to perform multiple functions with minimal direction, independent of supervision Complex problem solving
Special Physical Demands The Special Physical Demands are considered Essential Job Functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently required to talk and hear; stand, walk, and sit; use hands to finger, handle, feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, taste and smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move 25 to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 50 to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and have the ability to adjust and focus. Level of Supervision Performs routine duties independent of supervision, but consults with the Radiation Oncologist, Medical Physicist, Medical Dosimetrist and Radiation Oncology Supervisor/Manager/Director as required. Supervises This job has no supervisory responsibilities. PAY RANGE:
$38.80 - $60.14
