Amplify's Training & Enablement department is seeking a Knowledge Governance Manager to operationalize and scale the organization's Knowledge Management (KM) strategy across enterprise systems. This role ensures knowledge assets are accurate, current, and aligned with governance standards, taxonomy, and AI-driven enterprise search initiatives. The ideal candidate is a systems-minded collaborator who translates KM principles into sustainable processes across platforms such as CMS, LMS, Salesforce, and other enterprise applications-building a unified knowledge ecosystem that drives discoverability, efficiency, and informed decision-making.

Essential Responsibilities:

Knowledge Governance and Implementation
  • Execute and maintain Knowledge Management policies, taxonomy, and tagging standards within enterprise systems.

  • Establish accountability frameworks and partner with content owners to ensure governance guidelines are applied consistently.

  • Align system-level configurations, permissions, and workflows with organizational KM standards and data governance practices.

Cross-System Coordination
  • Begin by partnering with an initial group of content owners and system owners across key enterprise tools, serving as the primary liaison to ensure alignment and collaboration.

  • Work closely with system owners to regularly review and maintain content accuracy, currency, and structure.

  • Proactively identify gaps, overlaps, and redundancies across content repositories to improve enterprise-wide knowledge consistency.

  • As organizational needs evolve, expand coordination efforts to additional systems and teams to support a unified knowledge ecosystem.

Content Quality and Lifecycle Management
  • Oversee the periodic review and validation of key content and documentation.

  • Support content owners in applying KM best practices, including tagging, metadata, and archiving processes.

  • Implement version control and deprecation routines to ensure content remains up-to-date and relevant.

Enterprise Search Optimization
  • Partner with the AI and Enterprise Search teams to improve searchability, metadata accuracy, and tagging effectiveness.

  • Analyze usage data and feedback to refine taxonomy, search filters, and knowledge presentation.

  • Serve as a bridge between system content and enterprise search performance.

Training and Enablement
  • Maintain and refine existing guidance, documentation, and training resources to ensure ongoing alignment with Knowledge Management standards and evolving system needs.

  • Promote adoption of KM processes through workshops, onboarding sessions, and ongoing support.

  • Contribute to building a culture of shared ownership and accountability for knowledge quality.

Monitoring and Continuous Improvement
  • Define, track, and report on knowledge quality metrics (e.g., content freshness, search success rate, taxonomy compliance) to measure adoption and effectiveness.

  • Participate in the Knowledge Governance Committee to represent system-level insights and propose improvements.

  • Recommend technology or process enhancements to increase knowledge alignment and accessibility.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Business, Communications, Education, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in Knowledge Management, Information Architecture, Content Operations, or related governance roles in a cross-functional environment.

  • Demonstrated experience managing or coordinating knowledge across multiple enterprise systems (e.g., CMS, LMS, Salesforce, Confluence).

  • Strong understanding of metadata, taxonomy, tagging, and content lifecycle management.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to influence across teams and levels.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with AI-driven search tools and principles of data governance.

  • Experience in educational technology, SaaS, or information-heavy organizations.
