American Structurepoint, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Scheduler to support our growing Alternative Delivery Group. The successful candidate will oversee development of the group's schedules for construction, procurement, and professional services. The objective is to ensure the successful development, integration, and management of schedules across complex transportation projects delivered through alternative delivery methods, including large-scale projects ($100MM+) where applicable. These include Design-Build, CM/GC (CMAR), and Progressive Design-Build.

The Senior Scheduler spearheads the end-to-end project lifecycle, from initial concept planning and risk integration to design and construction. This role ensures that every schedule is technically accurate and seamlessly integrated with broader project execution strategies. The Senior Scheduler will build schedules for the work performed by our group, build initial schedules for the projects we oversee, perform schedule reviews of contractor submittals for compliance with contract requirements, including baseline, updates, and recovery schedules, and develop scheduling requirements for our owner clients. The Senior Scheduler will lead schedule review meetings with contractors and agency stakeholders and provide formal recommendations regarding schedule acceptance and compliance.



Responsibilities

    Scheduling & Planning: Lead the development and management of Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) using Primavera P6 and MS Project. The Senior Scheduler will be responsible for identifying the critical path, performing schedule risk assessments, and architecting recovery strategies to mitigate project delays. This role requires a mastery of CPM and PDM methodologies, including WBS development, logic sequencing, and advanced schedule reporting. The Senior Scheduler will oversee the full scheduling lifecycle-from baseline establishment to compliance reviews, while translating complex data into actionable insights for DOT clients, contractors, and internal leadership.
  • Forecasting & Reporting: Prepare monthly forecasts and detailed progress reports for internal leadership and external stakeholders, maintaining Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for schedule performance. Perform Time Impact Analyses (TIA), recover schedule evaluations, and schedule quality assessments when requested. Present schedule status, risk exposure, and recovery strategies upon request.


Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience utilizing Primavera P6 Professional in the delivery of heavy civil or transportation construction, engineering, or industrial projects, including at least 4 years serving as the lead or primary scheduler on heavy civil transportation projects. Expert knowledge of heavy civil construction scheduling, including means, methods, sequencing, and field operations typical of transportation infrastructure projects.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of quantitative schedule risk analysis (QSRA) and integrating schedule with risk registers preferred. Experience serving as a scheduler for a general contractor, CM/GC, or design-build team preferred. Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret schedule data, perform variance and trend analysis, and utilize MS Excel for advanced schedulerelated evaluations.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field. Equivalent years of experience in heavy civil construction can be used in place of a degree.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical mindset, attention to detail, strong communication (written and verbal), leadership, problem-solving, and criticalthinking abilities, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
