Overview

Assists with the procurement activities in regards to stocking and furnishing of critical and non-critical supplies and equipment. Includes purchase order communication with vendors, purchasing documents preparation, monitoring incoming items and back orders and monitor inventory levels.

*This position can be based in Pompano Beach or Orlando*



Responsibilities

    Orders, critical and non-critical supplies and equipment for all departments
  • Assists in control of inventory for routine supplies and forms
  • Helps to maintain standing orders for supplies and services
  • Maintains purchasing records, such as purchase orders, vendor Information and documentation
  • Maintains working relationship with vendor contacts.
  • Works with Manager to negotiate and establish best pricing for goods and services
  • Communicates to internal customer on order status and discrepancies
  • Reports on stock levels and ordering history
  • Helps to maintain min/max stock levels
  • Checks back order from Vendors to ensure correct stock levels
  • Packing list/Invoice approval and retrieve as needed.


Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or equivalent and one (1) year prior office experience preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to read, write and speak English fluently
  • Ability to follow complex oral and written instructions
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
  • Skill in Microsoft Office applications

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

Functions involve the periodic performance of moderately physically demanding work, usually involving lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials (up to 50 pounds). Tasks that require moving objects of significant weight require the assistance of another person and/or use of proper techniques and moving equipment. Tasks involve climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.

ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of this job.

Functions are regularly performed inside without potential for exposure to adverse conditions, such as inclement weather, atmospheric elements and pathogenic substances. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
