Department Summary

The UCLA Bixby Center to Advance Sexual and Reproductive Health Equity, located within the Fielding School of Public Health's Community Health Sciences Department, is a transdisciplinary consortium dedicated to training future leaders in sexual and reproductive health (SRH). Through its comprehensive Bixby Certificate Program, doctoral fellowships, mentorship opportunities, and global experiential learning, the Center equips the next generation of the workforce. It offers a diverse range of activities, including seminars, film series, career advising, and student internship placements, while collaborating with key UCLA departments, on-campus and community groups, and external partners. The Bixby Center is committed to innovative research, community outreach, and advocacy efforts, addressing urgent reproductive health topics and supporting faculty and students engaged in research and applied public health practice.
Position Summary

This is a hybrid position with the opportunity for up to 2 days per week remote.


Salary & Compensation

*UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Salary offers at the top of the range are not common. Qualifications

  • Two years of related project coordination work experience (Required)
  • Fluency in the usage of Institutional Review Board processes including submission of protocols and understanding of compliance and regulatory standards related to research studies (Preferred)
  • Experience in conducting literature reviews, analyzing data, designing evaluation tools, and interpreting results to support program monitoring, evaluation, and research efforts (Preferred)
  • Experience with marketing and communication efforts to a variety of audiences through multiple channels (Preferred)
  • Experience coordinating and managing multiple projects and events simultaneously, including organizing logistics, coordinating with multiple stakeholders, and ensuring all aspects are executed smoothly (Required)
  • Experience in creating visually appealing and effective marketing materials, newsletters, and promotional content using design tools and software such as Canva, Instagram, and LinkedIn (Required)
  • Capable of identifying programmatic needs, potential solutions, and carrying out solutions (Required)
  • Highly effective oral and written communication, able to communicate with diverse audiences, able to digest large amounts of information and create appropriate path forward (Required)
  • Self-starter able to problem-solve independently to work effectively with minimal supervision (Required)
  • Ability to prioritize workflow to meet deadlines, often under pressure of conflicting demands while maintaining accuracy and effectiveness (Required)
  • Ability to effectively keep team informed, and tap leadership appropriately (Required)
  • Skill in preparation of accurate and timely reports, both formal and informal (Required)
  • Demonstrated computer and software skills including MS Word, Excel (Required)
  • Knowledge of UCLA and departmental policies for dealing with purchasing, reimbursement, guidelines for research, confidentiality and HIPAA regulations (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of data management or analytical software such as Qualtrics, Excel, and/or Stata (Preferred)

  • Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal Affiliations

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (Required)
  • Master's Degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, or related area and/or equivalent experience/training. (Preferred)
