Reports to: Maintenance Leader

Span of Control: Maintenance Team (10-12 technicians on rotating shifts)


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES




  • Ensures maintenance personnel perform all functions of the job in a safe manner and promptly address any unsafe behaviors.
  • Implements and leads major and minor maintenance and engineering projects and programs.
  • Help plan, implement, and lead down days and downtimes.
  • Serves as backup to the Maintenance Leader
  • Trains, leads, and directs skilled craft people.
  • Orders parts and services through SAP.
  • Works with the Operations Department to determine causes of slow time and downtime and plan improvements.
  • Provides technical support for all departments.
  • Works with reliability department to plan and develop preventive maintenance routines and timings based on failure rates, equipment histories, and other diagnostic tools and data.
  • Promotes worker safety and individual dignity.
  • Meets or exceeds plant standards for housekeeping and record keeping.
  • Ensure that all plant assets are cost effectively maintained and safe.
  • Other work and duties as directed by the Maintenance Leader.
  • Help develop and ensure adherence to all standard work processes.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to track and oversee timecard submissions.



Drive Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Actions & Implementation



  • Ownership of TPM activities in increasing total production standards
  • Responsible for leading the development and execution of TPM implementation plans to meet and exceed the business objectives.
  • Hold team members accountable for follow-through on TPM activities or improvements.
  • Support the TPM leader with various TPM related activities.



Total Productive Maintenance (TPM): Work to drive a Zero Injury, Zero Defect, Zero Loss Culture

Autonomous Maintenance (AM):



  • Own the equipment on the line in terms of CIL (cleaning, inspection, and lubrication) standards.
  • Ability to learn troubleshooting methodology such as cause mapping or five why analysis.
  • Troubleshooting ability to solve tags created regarding abnormalities.


Focused Improvement (FI):



  • Combines the collective talents of a company to create an engine for continuous improvement.
  • Provide the methodology and disciplined approaches to be able to identify and eliminate losses through loss tree deployment.


Training & Development (T&D):



  • Operators develop skills to routinely maintain equipment and identify emerging problems.
  • Maintenance personnel learn techniques for proactive and preventative maintenance.


Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE):



  • Eliminates potential health and safety risks, resulting in a safer workplace.
  • Specifically targets the goal of an accident-free workplace.



JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE



  • Secondary Education in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands on electrical and mechanical maintenance experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of Maintenance Supervisory Experience
  • Must be able to train others in advanced multi-craft related skills.
  • Must learn new controls technologies and systems as required throughout plant.
  • Available at weekends & after hours to respond to equipment failures.
  • Understanding of planned maintenance techniques (RWP, SAP, etc.)
  • Microsoft Office capability
