Job Description

Purpose and Scope
University of Missouri Human Resources provide leadership in the planning, integration, and implementation of human resource services and programs for faculty and staff across all campuses and the health system. Collectively with campus colleagues, we serve as a strategic and trusted advisor, and pursue continuous improvement through knowledge, collaboration and leadership.

The UM HR Shared Administrative Service (SAS) team is responsible for providing support, education, and stewardship to University of Missouri faculty and staff, and manages the transactional administration of Human Resources processes.

This position will have key responsibilities in the daily administration of human resources transactional processing of the University's Retirement and Benefit plans carried out on behalf of the Board of Curators of the University of Missouri. While this position will focus on a specific area of responsibilities, overall, the following responsibilities are performed by a team of 5.0 FTE and serve as part of the overall Human Resources Service Delivery Team, serving over 50,000 active and separated employees, retirees, beneficiaries and dependents.

Responsibilities
Key focus responsibilities:
60% Provide customer service, problem solving and tier-two support to routine and non-routine inquiries related to administrative function with a focus on pending retiree and retirement processing ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant delivery of retirement-related materials and communications, including but not limited to:
* Maintain and manage the Notice of Intent (NOI) tracking spreadsheet, monitoring workflow progress and ensuring pending retiree actions are accurately documented and updated.
* Generate, proof, and distribute pending retiree packets related to pension and insurance benefits, ensuring materials are complete, accurate, and issued within established timelines.
* Conduct outreach to pending retirees following packet distribution to confirm receipt, respond to questions, resolve discrepancies, and facilitate completion of required documentation.
* Coordinate the transfer of completed retirement files and supporting documentation to the Retirement team, ensuring records are complete, properly imaged, and routed in accordance with established processes.
* Serve as the primary contact for pending retiree inquiries received through the HR ticketing system, providing timely, professional responses and escalating issues as appropriate.
* Support weekly retirement plan term mailings as assigned, ensuring accurate preparation and timely distribution of required communications.

SAS Team shared responsibilities:
20% Monitor SAS assigned tickets and imaging workflows
* Monitor and reply to incoming inquiries via the HR ticketing system (currently through Zendesk) providing timely and professional responses.
o Identify and escalate inquiries as appropriate to tier-three subject matter experts within the Centers of Expertise (retirement team, benefits team, etc.).
o Assist University of Missouri new hires or newly retired employees with tier-two benefit enrollment inquiries.
* Process and route key documents through workflows within the University's document imaging system (Perceptive Content). Including documents pertaining to retirement, benefits, FMLA, etc.
* Cross train and be prepared to support other SAS team members with their assigned key responsibilities as needed. Including but not limited to:
o Processing life events (benefit enrollments, benefit status changes, HSA & FSA changes, qualified medical child court ordered enrollment, etc.)
o Review retirement election forms for accuracy and completion. Initiate reach out to customers and ensure accurate and complete forms are returned timely to process pension benefits with awareness of payroll deadlines.

15% Reporting and EOI processing
* Process and complete corrections as applicable for various daily or weekly reports regarding eligibility and system errors to ensure accurate enrollments and transactional processing.
o Initiate ongoing communication with customers regarding errors or corrective actions and ensure corrected forms or documentation are collected and processed timely.
* Process Evidence of Insurability (EOI) reviews for life insurance, short-term disability and long-term disability plan increases.

5% Other duties as assigned
* As with all positions, involvement with other duties and responsibilities may be expected in order to support the mission and purpose of the University of Missouri.

Shift

Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm

Minimum Qualifications

A bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

* 3 years of human resources or applicable administrative experience,
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
* Organization skills including experience prioritizing multiple workflows/tasks,
* Attention to detail and accuracy and proven problem-solving skills,
* Proficient knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets,
* Ability to work independently and be a team player in a fast-paced environment.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
