Description

Atlantic Union Bank's Diversity Summer Internship program is a professional development opportunity for local students, giving them the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in several risk disciplines. The Enterprise Risk Management Intern will actively participate in departmental initiatives that strengthen the organization's risk posture while gaining practical work experience. This program is focused on helping students become better prepared to enter the financial industry post-graduation. Students are given the opportunity to develop professional networks and will receive training and mentoring throughout the program.

Atlantic Union Bank's Enterprise Risk Management Intern Program can be described as a Risk Analyst position conducting various duties to support AUB's Risk Division.. Activities will involve interacting with various stakeholders throughout the Bank to help identify, assess, monitor, and manage risk at Atlantic Union Bank.

Position Accountabilities

This position will experience an overview of all Enterprise Risk Division Programs and engage in live program elements, such as:



  • Enterprise Business Resiliency
  • Risk Governance
  • Financial Risk Management and Risk Operations
  • Third Pary Risk Management
  • Fair Lending Compliance
  • Issues Management
  • Policy and Procedure Management


Organizational Relationship

This position reports to the rManager of Enterprise Risk Management -Governance and has a hybrid residency.

Position Qualifications

Education, Experience, and Position Requirements



  • Must be at least 18 years' old
  • Currently working on degree in Finance, Economics or Business
  • Current enrollment in an accredited college or university is required, and Students must be undergraduates entering their junior or senior year or currently pursuing a graduate level degree
  • Must be available to work a 40-hour week, Monday through Friday
  • Must submit a resume and cover letter highlighting accomplishments, professional and academic goals, and expectations of this internship position
  • Submission of transcripts and two professional or academic references

  • Must be able to function well with indirect supervision
