What you will do:
- Conduct routine inspections, testing, service, and preventive maintenance on Life Safety systems (Electrical, Sprinkler, Suppression) across multiple manufacturers.
- Work with lowvoltage wiring and related devices.
- Follow a structured inspection schedule and complete all assigned work on time.
- Document inspection results using a laptop or mobile device; input, retrieve, and archive inspection records.
- Make minor system repairs and programming adjustments as needed.
- Provide technical guidance and training for junior inspectors or trainees.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
How you will do it:
- Use lowvoltage wiring techniques and associated equipment.
- Accurately complete Service Acknowledgements and related documentation.
- Always maintain compliance with safety procedures and quality standards.
- Work in a variety of environments, including heights, confined spaces, and above-ceiling areas.
- Support customers with professionalism and strong communication.
What we look for: Required
- 5+ years of experience working with lowvoltage electrical systems and Fire/Life Safety systems.
- Strong troubleshooting ability and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Capable of lifting 50-70 lbs. and working on ladders, scaffolding, and lifts to 40 ft.
- Flexibility to work weekends and travel overnight when required.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to work effectively with others.
- Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational skills and quick learner.
- Valid driver's license meeting company standards.
- Ability to obtain/maintain required national, state, and local licenses.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Successful completion of the Inspector Entree Course (Electrical or Sprinkler).
- NICET certification
- State of MI - Fire Alarm License
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using hand tools and multi-meters.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, specifications, and technical manuals.
HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $26.06 - 35.79 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience,knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with marketdata.)
