Position Title: Pharmacy Technician 2

Work Location: 1311 W. Sam Houston Pkwy N Ste 130 Houston, TX 77043 / 12968 Pauline Dr Shelby Township, MI 48315

Assignment Duration: 06 Months Possibility to extend or convert

Work Schedule: 9:30am-6pm CT, No OT

Work Arrangement: Onsite

Position Summary:

Interact with various departments to provide accurately dispensed prescriptions on a timely basis

Work under direct supervision of a pharmacist

Key Responsibilities:

Interact with various departments to provide accurately dispensed prescriptions on a timely basis
Work under direct supervision of a pharmacist
Locate correct medication and strength to complete picking of order.
Prepare, count, label, and package pharmaceuticals for Pharmacist approval
Purchase, receive and coordinate inventory
Maintain and update inventory recap report
Retrieve discontinued or expired medications from stock; discard or return to stock as appropriate; complete corresponding documentation
Maintain prescription logs
Accurately calibrate equipment and document calibration according to policy
Assist with the maintenance of pharmacy temperature and cleaning logs and documents maintenance
Comply with safety, quality assurance, accreditation, legal, state, and federal regulatory requirements
Performs other duties as assigned

Education/Certification	Required: High School diploma,	Preferred:
Licensure	Required: Pharmacy Tech license	Preferred: and TSBP Registration for just state of TX
Years of experience required Disqualifiers Best vs. average Performance indicators	Must haves: Pharmacy Terminology knowledge, Dosage Calculations, Telephone Communication Skills/ computer savvy. Nice to haves: Multitasks very well, Excellent Teamwork, Disqualifiers: No Data Entry Experience Performance indicators: Scorecards Type 95 prescriptions per day (When working preqa que) 72 referrals worked per day (when working pharmacy Call back que) Best vs. average: 2 years Experience would be average, more would be best
