What We Do
The Underwriting Graduate Intern will participate in a structured development program designed to provide law students with meaningful, hands-on experience in the Title Insurance and Financial Services industry.
This program is designed to help graduate and legal students develop the legal, analytical, technological, professional, and interpersonal skills that will be invaluable throughout their careers. Interns gain exposure to a corporate legal and underwriting environment within the Real Estate and Title Insurance industry, balanced with executive-level presentations, networking opportunities, and intern-specific programming. Under the close supervision and guidance of an Underwriting Manager and/or in-house counsel, 2L and 3L law students will work on assignments related to Real Estate Law, title insurance risk analysis, and underwriting decision-making. What You'll Do
Interns will gain exposure to topics such as Mechanics liens, Undischarged mortgages, Fraud prevention and OFAC compliance, Federal tax liens, Endorsement standards, High-liability transactions, and Risk evaluation and authority limits. What You'll Gain
