As the Financial Management Analyst II, you'll be a vital part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary team that supports research-active institutes, centers, and academic support units across the university. As part of a dedicated team of financial professionals, you will play a central role in managing the finances of a select portfolio of research-active University Institutes & Centers and academic support units. Reporting to a Senior Financial Manager and collaborating closely with financial staff, you will serve as a strategic partner to unit leadership, ensuring strong financial stewardship, informed decision-making, and proactive operational support. What You'll Do: Financial Operations - 40% - A Bachelor's degree is required and forms the foundation for your financial decision-making. Financial Reporting - 35% - Prepare monthly actuals. Annual Budget - 20% - Partner with leadership to develop and submit the annual budget. Other Financial Responsibilities - 5% - Train and mentor unit staff. Anticipated Pay Range: Duke University provides an annual base salary range for this position as USD $62,694.00 to USD $107,633.00. Duke University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position; candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills; internal peer equity; as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
