Job Summary: Utility crew will be responsible for transportation of materials such as: waste/trash, hazmat, snowmaking equipment, race team equipment, cleaning equipment, snow removal, baskets, DEF, F&B deliveries, on snow builds such as World Cup, Chase lounge, etc., and employee transportation.

Applicants must be 18 years of age.

Hourly:

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC's hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.

Base hourly pay range: $22.96 - $32.14 per hour

Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks include the following; other duties may be assigned:
  • Slope grooming machine operation.
  • Ability to properly check out/in a snowcat.
  • Demonstration safe operation and distances near obstacles and personnel.
  • Operate all machine functions such as blade, tiller, and other grooming implements.
  • Ability to park a snowcat safely and properly.
  • Minimize downtime and prevent machine damage through preventative maintenance, cleanliness, and up-keep of machine.
  • Accurately document and report condition of grooming machinery to vehicle maintenance daily.
  • Effective communication with the vehicle maintenance shops regarding needs.
  • Demonstration safe operation and distances near obstacles and personnel.
  • Operate all machine functions such as blade, tiller, and other grooming implements.
  • Operate machine safely with minimal supervision.
  • Assist other departments when needed.
  • Navigate and properly operate grooming machine on beginner terrain and travel routes.
  • Navigate and properly operate on select intermediate terrain and travel routes.
  • Load and unload various materials, tools and equipment.
  • Maintain all tools and equipment.
  • Facility maintenance and general cleaning and housekeeping as necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and safe mountain environment.
  • Recognizes changing field conditions and implements appropriate field activity adjustments to maintain optimum safety and productivity.
  • Ability to show up on time, ready to work, for each scheduled shift.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, talk, see, and hear. Must be capable of walking or standing 50 % and sitting 50% or more of a normal 8 hour work shift. Must be capable of occasionally carrying, lifting, pushing or pulling up to 75lbs. Must be capable of occasionally squatting, bending, kneeling, reaching, and balancing, able to climb ladders and shovel snow. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions and the ability to adjust focus.

Education and Experience:

Required:
  • High School Diploma or GED

Preferred
  • Machine/snowcat operator experience
