YOUR OPPORTUNITY


We have an exciting Traffic Dispatcher opportunity in our Guymon Plant. In this highly impactful role, you will be a key member of the scheduling team. The Traffic Dispatcher will coordinate loading dock shags to shag drivers. Must be able to deal with OTR (Over the Road) drivers and maintain complete reports.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Input necessary data into the Market Haul Delivery database, organize the output, and distribute it to the appropriate personnel.
  • Establish and adjust work procedures to meet the operational needs of transportation, marketing, plant, and production.
  • Direct the daily assignment of drivers and trucks by dispatching assets according to the best combination of route and equipment usage.
  • Routinely makes critical decisions regarding efficient and effective operations of the fleet, as well as determining appropriate responses to emergencies.
  • Assist the Market Haul Group with troubleshooting and follow-up deliveries and discrepancies in scheduled vs. actual deliveries.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Required:



  • High School or GED.
  • 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Gives excellent attention to detail.


Preferred:



  • Ability to facilitate, encourage and lead a team to reach set goals.
  • Strong sense of urgency and works well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Computer knowledge/ Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of people such as employees, supervisors and managers.



SCHEDULE



  • The hours and days of work are established by departmental needs and at the discretion of management. After-hours, weekends and overnight travel as requested.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts
  • Commonly exposed to airborne particles and gases at low concentrations.
  • Frequently exposed to waste material, feed and hog dust.
