Job Description Johnson County Developmental Supports (JCDS) is currently seeking a Service Coordinator. JCDS serves people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We focus on individuals' abilities, provide choice driven supports, and advocate alongside people to live and work in our community. Conducts assessments of individuals' background and applicable circumstances to identify needs and/or determine service eligibility; interprets and communicates relevant information to individuals, families, and other stakeholders.
Job Requirements Minimum Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field and one year of related work experience are required. A valid drivers license and good driving record are also required. Must take and pass the case management assessment within 90 calendar days of employment. One (1) year of experience in the field of intellectual and developmental disabilities is preferred. Johnson County Government requires reference/background screening for all positions. Candidate must be able to successfully complete criminal and motor vehicle background screenings, which includes KDADS required screenings and registry checks. Education/Experience Substitutions: Experience may be substituted for degree. In some instances, statutory or regulatory requirements may prohibit substitution of education and/or experience. Physical, Environmental, and Special Working Conditions: All County employees may be called upon to assist other departments in a declared emergency situation. | |||||||||||||||||||||
