Overview:

The AVP vAuto leader devises and enacts strategies and tactics to position ProfitTime GPS and vAuto amplifier products for success within Inventory Management Solution (IMS). This leader will oversee operations and own a P&L for a portfolio of products and services to drive operational excellence and high internal and external customer satisfaction. The individual will leverage deep expertise in automotive inventory management software, merchandising products, customer base, and competitive market to strategic planning. This role will also take a leadership role in the go-to-market, bundling, and pricing strategies for IMS to continue to drive profitable growth for IMS and Cox Automotive. Working across Cox Automotive and with the IMS leadership group, this leader will collaborate across stakeholders on enterprise solutions. Additionally, the role assists the IMS Solution Set Leader to define the overall IMS priorities and operating plan in collaboration with the rest of the IMS leadership team.

This role manages the revenue and key KPIs for ProfitTime GPS and vAuto Amplifiers to help dealers effectively manage their inventory. The focus is on the profitable growth of this portfolio of products, tracking the agreed-upon KPIs, & increasing market share at the local/regional level. This role is responsible for growing and managing a P&L of >$200M in revenue.

This role also works closely with other solution sets to identify and execute on products and ideas that span across businesses requiring an ability to identify root causes of complex problems and deliver simple solutions. The AVP vAuto will also support cross Cox Automotive initiatives and drive enterprise level programs, such as cross-solution workflows and integrations.

Responsibilities:

  • Owns a P&L of >$200M in revenue
  • Leads development and execution of cross CAI variable inventory management solutions that advance our SFAs and create new revenue streams.
  • Manages the team of professionals, including direct reports and the complex group of functional contributors across the company. Lead, direct, and develop a team of business development and strategic account managers, fostering a high-performance culture that drives growth and positively impacts the company's goals.
  • Works with the VP Solution Set leader in an operations strategist /chief of staff capacity to provide leadership and coordination across the IMS leadership team to help set our priorities and broader operational goals.
  • Drives continued growth of existing ProfitTime GPS and vAuto amplifier offerings within the Automotive market; implements pricing strategies; coordinate marketing campaigns; and work across functions to implement services that enhance customer relationships and loyalty.
  • Leverages synergies between Cox Automotive Retail and Manheim wholesale business and the IMS team to create sustainable change for products and ideas.
  • Leads a cross-functional team (Product & Tech, Marketing, Sales, Finance, People Solutions) to execute variable inventory management priorities, objectives, and strategies that support the solution strategy.
  • Maintains a close understanding of evolving customer and consumer trends and needs, and develops plans and aligns resources and capabilities to meet and anticipate customer needs in the long term
  • Manages vital client relationships, resolves service delivery challenges, ensures the consistent delivery of the desired client experience, and connects customers with other areas of the organization to bridge cross-service/product issues.
  • Reviews and analyzes all areas that impact the profitability and growth of the ProfitTime GPS and vAuto amplifier business and synthesizes information from various sources to come up with recommendations that are data-driven and focused on growth and meet customer requirements.


Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree with 14+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a SaaS environment from the automotive sector OR equivalent combination of education and experience (MS + 12 years of experience or P.D. + 9 years of experience or 18 years of experience with no degree)
  • 7+ years of experience in a leadership role
  • Previous experience leading cross-functional teams including multi-layered direct reports and indirect influence driven relationships
  • Previous experience working, presenting, and communicating with key stakeholders, including with front-line employees
  • Previous experience running operations, including developing and delivering on both revenue and cost budgets; software preferred
  • Previous experience with P&L responsibility preferred
  • Ability to work cross-functionally & interact with leadership at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to drive customer relationships, including negotiations
  • Ability to interact credibly with front-line employees and leverage voice of the field and voice of the customer feedback into actionable strategies and tactics
  • Passion for storytelling, developing fresh ideas and translating market insights into compelling pitches.
  • Ability to establish credibility as an internal thought leader on strategic and business issues.
  • Ability to interpret complex data and distill it into a concise, relevant presentation for an executive audience.
  • Ability to think strategically, abstractly, in broad concepts and terms and apply to tangible plans.

USD 197,600.00 - 329,400.00

Compensation:

Compensation includes a base salary of $197,600.00 - $329,400.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Benefits:

The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members.
