JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Penn State Office of Budget and Finance is seeking applicants for part-time job of Financial Assistant to provide financial support to Penn State Outreach.

Job duties to include:

  • Reconciliation of five different registration systems
  • Pull daily, weekly, and monthly reports for each unit/system and reconcile payments
  • Create a Journal Entry and submit a Service Now ticket

Requirements, qualifications, and/or competencies:

  • High School diploma/GED required. Previous relevant work experience accepted in lieu of education.
  • Intermediate Excel skills required
  • The successful candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication with organizational skills and attention to detail and accuracy, and the ability to exercise discretion and judgment while managing confidential information

The successful candidate will have the option of working a hybrid schedule.

Compensation:

The starting range for this position: $16/hr - $20/hr.

BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES

Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies. Due to the financial and fiduciary responsibilities of this position, successful completion of a credit history check will be required in addition to standard background checks.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
