The Material Handling Team Lead is responsible for leading a team and managing day-to-day responsibilities for all put away and restocking needs. Efficiently staging, putting away, and restocking all parts, while reducing inventory errors.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience:

• Two years of warehouse experience
• Two years of forklift experience
• Oracle EBS / WMS / Rf Scanner experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Skilled in inventory management systems, and hand-held scanners
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Individuals should exhibit strong organizational skills
• Possess intermediate written and oral English communication skills
• Skilled at multi-tasking and managing competing priorities
• Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Detail oriented and accurate
• Demonstrated ability to quickly recognize and diagnose trends and patterns in productivity data
• Must be able to work flexible hours determined by the needs of the department including overtime and weekends

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides information and support to Material Handling staff
• Assists the team in putting away and consolidating as needed
• Performs audits on team members' put aways for accuracy and provides coaching as needed
• Manage the material handling operations, warehouse activities, safety performance, and logistics quality management
• Proactively keeping SQDIP (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, Productivity) boards up to date for maintaining operational excellence
• Adheres to established inventory control systems and computer tracking
• Strives to increase and maintain inventory accuracy
• Upholds 6S standards for the department and holds the team accountable
• Along with the Shipping & Receiving Supervisor, holds the team accountable for shipping errors and performance
• Continues to make great strides in achieving and maintaining the overall inventory accuracy rating of 95% or better
• Completes and maintains a variety of measurements, reports, records, and documentation for management
• Strives to improve departmental efficiencies and reduce costs through continuous improvement
• Maintains a clean and safe working environment
• Fosters goodwill with internal customers
• Works overtime as required
• Other duties as assigned

Work Environment: Work is performed in a manufacturing environment. The manufacturing environment is subject to moderate changes in temperature, and the employee will be exposed to typical hazards of noise, flying debris, and overhead hazards requiring the use of proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).

Pay Range: $25.50 - $25.50per hour

Bonus Eligible: This position is eligible to earn a discretionary bonus based on performance metrics and other criteria outlined in our applicable bonus plan.
