Job Purpose: Assist water production technicians in building, maintaining, and repairing the mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems of all water facilities. Working Conditions: This job will be exposed to wet humid conditions (non-weather), work near moving mechanical parts, work in high precarious places, confined spaces, loud noises, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather conditions, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. This job may occasionally be exposed to extreme cold (non-weather), use of a breathing apparatus, and insects. Physical Requirements: This job consists of very frequent speaking, hearing, walking, lifting up to forty (40) pounds, pushing and/or pulling, digging, reaching over head, assembly or handling of parts within arm's length, kneeling and/or crawling, and climbing. This job consists of frequent reading, writing, standing, sitting, lifting over forty-one (41) pounds, bending/stooping, repetitive motions, typing, and detailed inspection. This job will require frequently driving a company vehicle.
