Job Summary


The Customer Service Representative - Account Management supports Vehicle Group North America customers by serving as the primary advocate for assigned accounts. This role ensures superior customer service through accurate and efficient order management, proactive issue resolution, and consistent communication. The position is responsible for ensuring on-time and complete product shipments by coordinating with manufacturing sites, distribution locations, and cross-functional teams. The Customer Service Representative monitors customer requirements, manages inventory availability, and supports continuous process improvement to maximize customer satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities




  • Enter, monitor, and follow up on customer orders daily to manage delivery performance and resolve late issues.



  • Prioritize and escalate customer line-down situations and past-due orders with scheduling, production, and purchasing teams.



  • Instruct warehouse personnel on order fulfillment and inventory replenishment requirements.



  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding capacity increases, safety stock requests, new products, and lead times.



  • Confirm pricing and ensure accurate price entry.



  • Prepare Bills of Lading and coordinate transportation scheduling.



  • Coordinate material and purchased component availability with purchasing and communicate updates to customers.



  • Review customer forecasts and communicate relevant information to appropriate internal departments.



  • Build and maintain spreadsheets, records, transactions, and customer inquiries.



  • Develop strong customer relationships through proactive communication and follow-up.



  • Report unsafe conditions or practices to supervisors and management.



  • Keep management informed of issues impacting customer satisfaction or operational performance.



  • Promote continuous improvement within the order management process to enhance efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.




Job Requirements




  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Technical discipline, or related field required.



  • Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience in a manufacturing environment.



  • Strong verbal and written communication, listening, and problem-solving skills.



  • Highly organized with strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail.



  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and standard office equipment.



  • Logical thinker with the ability to analyze order management data and reporting tools to identify inconsistencies and corrective actions.



  • Team-oriented with a positive and professional attitude.



  • Ability to drive accuracy and efficiency in order management processes.



  • Ability to develop in-depth knowledge of products, markets, and customer channels.



  • Spanish and English bilingual capability preferred.




Education




  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Technical discipline, or related field required.




Work Experience




  • At least 2 years of customer service experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment required.



  • Experience in order management, logistics coordination, or account management preferred.
