What you will do:

Johnson Controls invites you to apply for anin-person internship at the JCI Advanced Development and Engineering Center (JADEC) located in New Freedom, PA over Summer 2026.This internshipis designed to provide you with positive work/training experience and challenging objectives. The role is for an undergraduate intern position in the Digitalization & Service Enablement Team as a part of HVACR Engineering. As part of a team, you will work closely with the team to apply and enhance your engineering and data analysis skills. Specific identified internship responsibilities are outlined below.

How you will do it:

  • Work closely with the Connected Equipment Portal (CEP) team and various engineering stakeholders to develop an analytical architecture that would include but is not limited to: data query interface, intake forms, dataset onboarding roadmap, curated datasets, and adjustable visuals. All of which are focused toward bringing value to product engineers.

  • Develop auditing workflow for planning and tracking point renaming effort across equipment model portfolio. Present final naming convention recommendations prior to implementation in new product introductions and any future equipment model revisions.

  • These are examples of actual ongoing work, and the final project assignment(s) will be finalized based on candidate interest and qualifications.

What we look for

RequiredQualifications:

  • Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university

  • Pursuing a degree in Engineering (Mechanical or related concentration preferred), Data Science, or a related field

  • An effective communicator to all levels of the organization

  • Must have demonstrated computer skills, including use of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

  • U.S. citizen or legal right to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrates an ability to learn quickly and independently

  • Strong problem-solving skills

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $19.00 - $24.00 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge,skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
