Position Summary
Manage fiscal and administrative operations for the department including developing and administering budgets, supervising staff, ensuring efficient processing of faculty and staff appointments, developing and implementing policies and procedures, overseeing scheduling, registration activities and course information preparation and effectively resolving faculty and staff problems. Develop and supervise office staff.
Qualifications
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Education: Master's Degree
Required Experience: 5+ years of increasingly responsible administrative experience, including managing administrative services/processes, budgets, and staff, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Experience: 5+ years Office, program, or business operations management experience at a large college or university.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Ability to train others. Verbal and written communication skills. Compute, record, and proofread data and other information, such as records or reports. Interpersonal and customer service skills. Develop or update procedures, policies, or standards. Proficient in Google Office Suite Strong work ethic and positive team attitude Strong time-management and organizational skills Ability to work in a constantly changing fast paced environment. Evaluate employees' job performance and conformance to regulations and recommend appropriate personnel action. Interpret and communicate work procedures and company policies to staff. Ability to manage several projects and demands simultaneously
Additional Information
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $77,500.00 to USD $97,500.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
