Provide professional services in support of unit management in field as specified in the particular job posting. Focus will be in a professional field such as Communications, Marketing, Customer Service, Academic Administration, Event Management, Procurement, etc. Specific duties will be determined based on assignment and unit needs. Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Perform duties related to professional field assignment.

Job Duty 2 -
Participate in reviews for compliance with policy and governmental regulations in the field.

Provide input to department policies and procedures.

May provide input to and administer project timelines and budgets.

May interact with vendors regarding procurement and delivery issues.

Responsibilities

Job Duties & Responsibilities Collections Support
  • Prepare and send collection letters via mail and email (folding, mailing, Outlook).
  • Conduct timely follow-up on outstanding collection notices using Outlook and phone communication.
  • Monitor and respond to requests in the collections inbox (Outlook).
  • Pull and provide invoice copies as requested (Teams, Outlook, SponsorPoint).
Reporting
  • Compile endofmonth collections reports; requires strong proficiency with Excel.
Accounts Receivable Operations
  • Invoicing & Billing: Generate and distribute accurate customer invoices and billing statements, ensuring completeness and adherence to agreedupon terms.
  • Payment Processing & Reconciliation: Record customer payments and reconcile them against outstanding invoices. Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies promptly.
  • Collections Management: Implement effective collection strategies to reduce aged receivables. Contact customers regarding overdue balances and negotiate payment arrangements when necessary.
  • Credit & Risk Management: Review creditworthiness of new and existing customers, analyze financial data and credit reports, and establish or maintain credit limits in accordance with company policies.
Compliance & Reporting
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial policies, and relevant regulations.
  • Prepare and present accounts receivable metrics such as Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), collection rates, and aging trends.
General Accounts Receivable Duties
  • Create accurate invoices and verify transaction details.
  • Monitor, process, and apply incoming payments to outstanding balances.
  • Maintain detailed and organized records of invoices and customer account activity.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve invoicerelated discrepancies or disputes with clients or vendors.
Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

Other Required Qualifications
Position requires the ability to pass a drug/alcohol pre-screening; may require working competently with dangerous materials and in a dangerous environment, such as around or on rotating machinery, live electrical circuits, hazardous materials, high-pressure liquids and gas, and bot surfaces. In addition, it may require lifting heavy objects of up to 75 pounds, and working in confined spaces, noisy environments, and elevated locations (such as climbing extension ladder and other types of ladders; or using scaffolding) either inside or outside of a building. During adverse weather, activities may require extensive after hours work or callback. This job may require wearing a full-face respirator in accordance with Georgia Tech campus policies and procedures. This job will require some evening hours and hours during peak times, as well as being a part of an on-duty rotation.
