Main Duties & Responsibilities

Summary/Objective
Moves parts throughout facility from
que area to que area and helps the planners perform splits, locate production
orders & parts and expedite jobs through departments.

Essential Functions:
Under direction of lead person or supervisor, with
periodic review, performs the following
Using knowledge of production floor and routers moves product through factory to next operation as noted on the production router.

  1. Using computer software, maintain part and order status of parts during manufacturing operations.
  2. Helps planners with splitting orders by counting and separating parts into new pans and creating new pan tickets.
  3. Identify component / assembly parts correctly by part numbers and lot numbers.
  4. Count parts accurately and properly process documents in accordance with established production control procedures.
  5. Work with Production Control and shop floor to adjust for production scheduling changes, locate routers & parts as well as expedite and status hot jobs through the factory.
  6. May also be rotated within the framework of the primary job function to facilitate learning required skills for advancement.
  7. Works as an active team member by participating in problem solving, team building, and all other team activities to improve the processes, productivity, quality, etc.
  8. Uses interpersonal skills as well as good written and verbal communications. Assists other production members as required.

9. Other related tasks as assigned.

Equipment/Process
Responsibilities
- Performs duties where property, or equipment
may be damaged or man hours lost through improper use and improper
attention. Needs to remove broken
equipment from the work area and notify supervisor of need to be repaired.

Material or Product
Responsibilities -
Performs duties that require close attention
to work and supporting documentation specifications, scheduling and other
requirements. Extreme care must
be taken to assure accuracy of information.

Responsibility for Work of
Others -
Accuracy of communication is mandatory to the successful coordination of product fabrication and assembly. Must
communicate to appropriate personnel any problems or concerns regarding quality
of goods received or time flow of work in progress as it affects production
schedules. Works with all levels of shop employees, lead people and supervisors.

Safety Responsibilities - Good housekeeping and adherence to Company
safety rules is required. Protective equipment and clothing should be worn as
appropriate to the task at hand.

Initiative
and Ingenuity -
Requires knowledge of Company operations, material scheduling,
production requirements, administrative procedures, etc. Uses initiative
to assure workflow is coordinated to best efficiency.

WORK
ENVIRONMENT

Environmental Surroundings - Works in
a machine shop environment where noise, temperature fluctuations, etc. are
less desirable than in a typical office environment.

Unavoidable Hazards - Possible hazards related to finger
and hand injuries, muscle strains and eye strain. Exposure to moving
mechanical parts, metalworking fluids, and airborne particles. Protective
equipment and clothing appropriate to the task at hand is required.

EFFORT

Physical - Able to lift up to 50 pounds. Hand and finger manipulation in using computer
equipment etc. Able to reach, bend and stretch, maneuver heavy carts and travel
to various areas of production. Most job assignments require continuous
standing for long periods in excess of 2/3 of the workday.

Mental - Work requires knowledge of production floor
and shop routers. Use high level
of detail in counting and handling of parts and shop routers. Required to organize workflow to best efficiency to
effectively move product through the factory.

Visual - Close attention to detail with moderate eye
concentration for extended periods of time. Able to read documentation,
specifications and reference material such as is used by the Company. Requires
close and distance
vision, peripheral vision, and color vision.


Qualifications

EDUCATION/TRAINING
Demonstrated ability to read and write English of a
level required in Company shop documents and computer software entry
and processing requirements. Must be capable of applying mathematical
operations using addition and subtraction as required by job duties. Must be able
to operate computer equipment and other office machines and perform
specialized clerical duties at a moderately complex level as required by job
duties.

EXPERIENCE
This
is an entry level position.

Compensation

In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the expected pay range for this position is $20.22 to $25.45/hour

Compensation can vary depending on several factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, experience, competencies, and geographic location. Some roles may qualify for extra incentives like equity, commissions, or other variable performance-related bonuses. Further details will be provided by our recruiting team during the interview process.
