The Integrated Resource Planning team serves to bring the Company's strategic vision to reality by managing complex cross-functional system planning activities to determine the most reliable and costeffective mix of energy resources to advance the modernization of our generating fleet while meeting customers' growing electricity needs. An Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) is filed with each of our state's utilities commission and evaluates a wide range of supply and demandside options under different scenarios, accounting for uncertainty in load growth, fuel prices, technology evolution, and regulatory requirements. Through this process, Duke Energy develops strategies that balance reliability, affordability, sustainability, and risk over a multiyear planning horizon while engaging stakeholders and regulators throughout.
