Summary of Role: The Commercial Portfolio Administration Manager will manage a group of professionals responsible for maintaining and overseeing the commercial loan portfolio. This includes but is not limited to financial tracking and information collecting, annual reviews, covenant compliance, appropriate risk rating assignments and acting as back-up for the Commercial Loan Officers and Business Banking Officers.
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:
Manage and monitor commercial loan portfolio and relationships. Oversee the portfolio department workflow to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks. Provide assistance with loan maturities and required renewals for the assigned loan portfolio. Completion annual reviews for the assigned loan portfolio with standards comparable to new loan requests or annual review procedures, as applicable. Verify and testing of loan covenants in accordance with loan documentation requirements. Ensure the loan portfolio is properly risk rated. Ensure adherence to MBL Loan Policy, guidelines and regulatory requirements. Partner with designated Loan Officer/BBOs to assist in performing property inspections. Partner with designated Loan Officers/BBOs by attending borrower meetings and visits. Serve as the backup to designated Loan Officers/BBOs to promote quality service in providing borrowers with an additional contact within the organization. Oversee the tracking of required financial requirements. Work in tandem with the Loan Officer/BBOs to collect financial data annually, or as required. Interact with borrowers, Loan Officers/BBOs and third parties to resolve credit review questions. Assist Loss Mitigation with downgraded commercial relationship annual reviews or other such applicable guidance as needed and required. Identify changes in policy and procedures that will improve operations, increase efficiencies while maintaining low risk to credit union assets. Assist in formulating, formalizing, implementing, updating, changing and maintaining written departmental policies and procedures as directed. Remain current on Commercial Banking regulatory and compliance topics. Serve as a system administrator and take ownership of the Commercial Banking underwriting software (currently Sageworks/Abrigo). Motivate staff to maintain a proficient working knowledge of all department functions by promoting the continuous learning and improvement concepts.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree (BA) in Business Administration or related field. One (1) to Four (4) years of Credit and Financial Analysis in a financial institution and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Starting Compensation: $89,018-$115,724 annually, plus a competitive benefits package. Bilingual individuals who are fluent in a second language in addition to English are highly encouraged to apply.
