Exciting Opportunity at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center: Join Our Research Team as a GMP RNA Analytical Specialist!

Are you passionate about groundbreaking research and advancing cancer treatment? The Olayan Center for Cancer Vaccines, a key pillar in MSK's immuno-oncology transformation, is seeking a GMP RNA Vaccine Analytics Specialist to join our RNA Therapeutics Lab to support analytics for mRNA-based personalized cancer vaccines. This role will focus on building up and leading analytical efforts for characterization and release of GMP manufactured RNA, helping accelerate the translation of innovative vaccines into clinical use.

Role Overview:

  • Lead GMP analytical efforts for RNA-based personalized medicine.
  • Onboard and maintain RNA analytical equipment to ensure proper and continuous activity.
  • Collaborate with the research group and GMP manufacture specialist to implement process. improvements and tech transfer new RNA technologies.
  • Cross-train with GMP production for redundancy, validation and qualification.
  • Lead efforts for regulatory concerns, including IND and FDA feedback.
  • Generate and maintain compliant SOP's.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in biochemistry, chemistry, biomedical engineering, or a related field and at least 4 years of experience, or a bachelor's degree with at least 7 years of experience.
  • Ability to perform most, if not all, RNA analytical assays to characterize CQA's and PQA's required for release; advanced familiarity of assays for which there is no hand-on experience
  • Experience with performing and building up GMP analytical operations
  • Expert laboratory skills and the ability to handle diverse tasks in a GMP setting.

Additional Information:

  • Location: NYC; Zuckerman Research Center
  • Schedule: 37.5 hours per week (onsite)
  • Reporting to the Associate Director

Pay Range: $90,700.00 - $145,300.00 FSLA Status: Exempt
