Your new role

As our new Consultant, you will be part of our interdisciplinary St. Louis, Missouri team. You will work with all levels of expertise from entry level team members to members with decades of experience, many of whom are subject matter experts in their fields. Consultants and Managers are part of a continual learning environment where they learn through coaching, mentoring and on-the-job tasks.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Conducting Site Investigations, including drilling oversight and logging, monitoring well installation, soil and groundwater sampling as well as subsurface and indoor air monitoring.
  • Providing oversight and direction of field activities and communicate with senior staff;
  • Assisting in the development of work plans for field implementation;
  • Assisting with preparing reports and deliverables for submittal to clients and regulatory agencies;
  • Assisting with project schedules and budgets; and working in diverse and multi-user team environments.
Qualifications

About you

  • Minimum requirement is Bachelor's Degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, or Engineering with 2+ years of experience in Environmental Consulting/Geology.
  • Experience with Phase II Environmental Site Assessments and site investigations including; collecting air, soil and groundwater samples, logging soil borings, installing and sampling monitoring wells and subsequent data analysis. Experience with Phase I Environmental Site Assessments is a plus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to multitask.
  • Candidates must be willing to travel up to 25-30% average over the year and possess a valid driver's license. Travel may include overnight stays and may be out of state. Travel duration may range from 1-10 days, depending upon the specific requirements of each project.
  • Employee may be subjected to frequent repetitive motions, weather conditions such as extreme heat/cold, loud noises and hazards (i.e.: proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles). Worker may be required to wear personal protective equipment up to and including a respirator and protective clothing due to potential exposure to chemicals, fumes, odors, dusts, gases or poor ventilation. Ramboll has a strong Health and Safety program in order to protect and empower its employees in any work situation they will be asked to participate.

Additional Beneficial Skills:

  • OSHA 40-hour Hazardous Waste Operations (HAZWOPER) certified with current 8-hour annual refresher training.
  • Working knowledge of State and/or Federal regulations and experience are desired.
  • 3D GIS, including Earth Volumetric Studio (EVS) software or other similar applications.
  • EQuIS, EnviroData, Microsoft Access or relevant environmental data management suites

Salary Transparency Statement

At Ramboll, your base pay is only part of your overall total compensation package. At the time of this posting, this role is likely to be compensated at an annualbase salary between $69,222 - $86,528. Actual pay may be more or less than the posted range, depending on numerous factors, includingexperience, geographical location, internal equity, market conditions, education/training andskill level, and does not include bonuses, overtime, or other forms of compensation or benefits.
