Your Opportunity: Golden Heart Child Care, a Taylor Corporation company, is seeking a Substitute Child Care Giver to care for children ages 6 weeks to 16 months. In this role, you will be part of the center team and responsible for meeting the needs of each individual child, treating each child with dignity and respect, and establishing positive relationships with parents. You will assist in the implementation and continuation of the center program in the absence of the coordinator.

Work Authorization: To be considered for employment at Taylor Corporation, candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.

Shift Available: Monday - Friday; center hours are between 6:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. (7-8 hour shifts as scheduled)

Your Responsibilities:

• Assist in maintaining a safe environment appropriate for children's developmental stages

• Assist in planning and implementing the daily program under the direction of the coordinator

• Plan and carry out developmentally appropriate activities

• Observe, record, and report individual child behavior as assigned

• Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment

• Follow all center policies and state licensing requirements

You Must Have:

• Credits to meet Minnesota Department of Human Services Assistant Teacher qualifications

• Minimum two-year degree that meets Department of Human Services qualifications

• Willingness to fulfill responsibilities in accordance with the center's policies and philosophy

• Ability to physically see and hear ongoing activities and lift up to 60 pounds

Requirements Within This Position

• Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand

• Regularly required to remain in a stationary position and move throughout the classroom

• Frequently required to bend, lift, and assist children

• Ability to maintain awareness of multiple children at once in a fast-paced environment

The anticipated hourly range for this position is $14 - $15. The actual base offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The range listed is just one component of Taylor Corporation's total compensation and benefits package for employees.
