Job Description




As a Security Guard - Hospital Foot Patrol in Glendale, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to calls for assistance. You will deliver strong customer service and clear communication while supporting staff, patients, and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards and/or unusual conditions.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating response with site leadership and/or local responders as directed.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow as assigned, including observing for unauthorized entry, supporting badge and/or credential checks, and reporting concerns through the proper channels.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs, communicate security-related observations to supervisors and/or site contacts, and support investigations by preserving observations and relevant information.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be able to work in a hospital environment where vaccines may be present.
  • Be able to work in a hospital environment where a morgue is present.
  • Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
