JOB ANNOUNCEMENT Application Development Lead Department of Technology and Innovation Delivery Division Number of Positions: 1 (Additional vacancies possible pending budget approval) Starting Salary: $133,836.00 annually Applications for this position will be accepted until 11:59 pm CST on March 5, 2026. Under direction, manages the planning process and prioritizes resources based on team capacity to create application delivery solutions; and performs related duties as required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES * Establishes technology standards and supports the team of Application Delivery Managers to ensure appropriate levels of oversight and guidance over solutions being developed by vendor partners to better reinforce/uphold IT standards. * Provides strategic and operational leadership to staff members and manages and directs work. * Completes performance appraisals for subordinate staff, administers disciplinary functions, and approves staff time off requests. * Sets goals and objectives for team members for achievement of operational results. * Ensures policies, practices and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports, customers, and stakeholders. * Keeps abreast of new or emerging business processes in information technology best practices and recommends changes to division and technology policies and procedures as appropriate. * Identifies and researches specific problems and areas of opportunities and concerns and makes recommendations necessary to ensure program and operational efficiency. * Prepares various management and ad hoc reports. Additional duties may be required for this position. Location: 2 N. LaSalle St., Suite 1010, Chicago, IL 60602 Days: Monday through Friday Hours: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM (Flexible) THIS POSITION IS EXEMPT FROM THE CAREER SERVICE Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, or a directly related field, plus four (4) years of experience in project management or agile delivery, of which two (2) years are in a management/supervisory role related to the responsibilities of the position, OR graduation from an accredited college or university with a master's degree or higher in computer science, information systems, business administration, or a directly related field, plus three (3) years of experience in project management or agile delivery, of which two (2) years are in a management/supervisory role related to the responsibilities of the position, OR graduation from an accredited college or university with an associate degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, or a directly related field, plus six (6) years of experience in project management or agile delivery, of which two (2) years are in a management/supervisory role related to the responsibilities of the position, OR eight (8) years of experience in project management or agile delivery, of which two (2) years are in a management/supervisory role related to the responsibilities of the position.
SELECTION REQUIREMENTS This position requires applicants to complete an interview. The interviewed candidate(s) possessing the qualifications best suited to fulfill the responsibilities of the position will be selected.
