SALARY RANGE $31.84 - $44.20WORK ASSIGNMENT DETAILS The duties and responsibilities described for the Programs and Projects Analyst position apply to multiple County departments. This particular position is within the Office of Emergency Management, and the duties and responsibilities will pertain to the field of emergency management. The Office of Emergency Management engages community partners in emergency preparedness and planning activities and works with multiple levels of government agencies and other stakeholder groups in disaster response activities. Community partners include law enforcement, fire/EMS, healthcare, non-profit agencies, and private industry. The office assists in the development and conduct of exercises related to natural disasters, hazardous materials, terrorism, and cyber threats. Members of this office participate in the county's Emergency Operations Center and respond to incident scenes when emergency management assistance is required. The office also administers the reporting and planning requirements for facilities that use, store, or manufacture hazardous substances; coordinating and supporting the Local Emergency Planning Committee. Success in this emergency management role is demonstrated by consistently completing assigned emergency management tasks accurately and on schedule, maintaining clear priorities during both routine operations and incidents, taking personal ownership of commitments, and contributing to a cooperative team environment; while finding satisfaction in dependability behind the scenes rather than through public recognition or personal advocacy. Previous experience in comprehensive/all-hazards emergency management is preferred.
