Student Engagement and Campus Programs is part of Student Centers and Activities and is integral in implementing a cohesive programming model and oversees the primary student programming board (Rutgers University Programming Association -
RUPA) which is responsible for coordinating and implementing over 200 annual events along with professional staff driven programs including Homecoming, Senior Days, Lecturer Series, and Late Knight Programming. |

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Director, Campus Programs for Student Centers and Activities. Reporting to the Executive Director for Student Centers and Activities, this position is responsible for the strategic leadership of Rutgers University-New Brunswick co-curricular programs, activities, traditions, and events that promote learning and enhance the overall educational and community building for mor than 40,000 students.
Among the key duties of the position are the following:
- Oversees the design and implementation of programs and initiatives that align with the University's strategic goals of creating vibrant learning community attending to the social, cultural, physical, intellectual, and emotional needs of our students to create a sense of belonging and community.
- Oversees a team of professional staff, graduate assistants and students to create and implement strategic programs that foster prideful and engaged university community.
- Works with intentional efforts to engage all students in a variety of educational and community building activities and programs.
- Collaborates with other University staff and departments to increase students' understanding of their role within the Rutgers community by providing opportunities that connect classroom learning with the co-curricular experiences.
- Ensures smooth delivery and continuous improvement for each program, while maintaining consistency of key learning objectives to support student engagement.
- Serves as a senior member of Student Centers and Activities and manages programs and resources spread across the five campuses of New Brunswick.

Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
- Master's degree in student affairs administration, higher education or related field or discipline.
- Five (5) years of experience working in student unions/activities with experience in leadership, student programming, community development, supervision, training and assessment.

- Demonstrated experience in leading department and/or divisional initiatives and/or committees.
- Proficiency with various technology platforms and applications (Sakai, Canvas, Microsoft Teams) and familiarity with Campus Labs Engage Platform.
- Association and/or involvement with professional associations (ACUI, NACA, NASPA, ACPA).
