The Registrar serves as a key administrative leader on the Student Affairs Leadership Team and is responsible for the integrity, security, and management of student academic records and registration processes, while also overseeing a one-stop student services location. This position provides strategic direction for comprehensive enrollment services that support student success from admission through graduation. The Registrar ensures compliance with federal and state regulations while implementing innovative solutions that enhance student experiences and operational efficiency.
Central to this position is the ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders across the college, including academic departments, faculty, student services, IT, and administration. The Registrar actively partners with these campus constituents to align registration, records, and student service initiatives with institutional priorities and industry needs. Through these strategic partnerships, the Registrar ensures coordinated efforts to streamline processes, improve service delivery, and enhance the overall student experience.
This position is responsible for strategic planning, policy development, stakeholder engagement, and data-informed decision making that advances institutional goals for enrollment, retention, completion, and equitable student outcomes. The Registrar serves as both a steward of academic integrity and a key contributor to college-wide student success initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Program Development
- Develop and implement a comprehensive vision for integrated enrollment services that supports student success from admission through graduation
- Lead strategic planning for registration, records, financial aid, and one-stop services with measurable outcomes aligned to institutional goals
- Create and maintain policies, procedures, and guidelines that ensure regulatory compliance and service excellence
- Monitor trends in higher education enrollment management and implement evidence-based practices
- Establish key performance indicators and assessment methodologies to evaluate program effectiveness
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation across all functional areas
- Collaborate with campus stakeholders to align enrollment services with institutional priorities
- Represent the college in regional and national professional organizations related to registrar and financial aid functions
- Manage departmental budgets
Registration and Records Leadership
- Oversee all aspects of student registration processes, academic records management, transcript services, degree audits, and graduation certification
- Develop, implement, and assess registration procedures that optimize student access and success
- Ensure the integrity, security, and confidentiality of all student academic records in compliance with FERPA and other regulations
- Manage the academic calendar and course scheduling process in collaboration with academic departments
- Administer and enforce academic policies related to registration, course withdrawal, academic standing, and degree requirements
- Implement and optimize technology solutions to enhance registration efficiency and student self-service options
- Generate enrollment reports and analyze registration data to inform institutional planning and decision-making
Ollie's Compass (One-Stop Services) Oversight
- Direct the operations of Ollie's Compass, a centralized student service center providing integrated front-line support
- Establish service standards and performance metrics that ensure exceptional student experiences
- Develop cross-training strategies to enable staff to address multiple student needs efficiently
- Implement process improvements that streamline student interactions across registration, records, and financial aid functions
- Oversee the development of student-facing resources, including web content, forms, and self-service tools
- Address complex student situations requiring coordination across multiple functional areas
- Evaluate service effectiveness through student feedback and performance data

Minimum Qualifications

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Comprehensive understanding of registration processes, academic policies, and student records management
- Strong data literacy and ability to use analytics for decision-making and program improvement
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Advanced communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build relationships across departments
- Experience developing policies, procedures, and documentation for enrollment services
- Proficiency with student information systems
- Experience with federal Title IV financial aid administration
- Knowledge of records management best practices and retention requirements
- Familiarity with enrollment management strategies and student success initiatives
- Understanding of curriculum management and transfer credit evaluation
- Evidence of innovative and creative problem-solving to address complex student needs
- Strong ethical judgment and ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information
- Adaptability and resilience in a changing regulatory and educational environment
- Collaborative leadership style that empowers team members and campus partners
- Student-centered mindset with focus on service excellence and accessibility
- Ability to manage multiple functional areas effectively through direct and indirect reporting relationships
EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree required. Master's degree in related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in registrar functions
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience managing professional staff, preferably including management of managers
- Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state regulations related to student records
- Experience with student information systems and enrollment management technologies
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations (FERPA, ADA, Title IX, etc.)

The Registrar is a full-time, benefits-eligible position within the Student Affairs team.
