Software Product Management Intern - Summer 2026

Lenovo Intelligent Devices Group (IDG) Commercial Software Center of Excellence is seeking a self-motivated intern to work with the Product Management team, analyzing product metric and customer feedback data to identify new product opportunities. You will work with a cross-functional team that includes Product Managers, Product Owners, Engineering, and Marketing to complete one customer research project and one product design project.

The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to learn and develop new skills, including communicating clearly and convincingly. They will need to have the ability to work independently as a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity in an ever-evolving environment, and adapt messaging across different audiences. While they will need to work independently, they will have support within the organization to help guide and provide feedback.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct stakeholder interviews and review product metrics to synthesize results into actionable insights and clear user stories based on the qualitative and quantitative results.
• Collaborate with product managers and UX researchers to gather, document, and prioritize requirements for a new product feature.
• Participate in product design discussions, contributing to feature definition, scope alignment, and customer value assessment.
• Assist with data analysis by examining customer usage metrics to identify behavior patterns, feature adoption trends, and growth opportunities.
• Prepare reports summarizing key insights and recommendations for product strategy discussions.
• Support the product team in sprint planning, release tracking, and competitive research as needed.

Basic Qualification:

• Current undergraduate student studying business administration, management, marketing, or computer science
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, demonstrated through coursework, internships, or extracurricular activities
• Effective written and verbal communication abilities for collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Ability to work onsite in Morrisville, NC
