Security Officer - Patrol

As a Security Officer - Patrol in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to reports, communicate clearly with site teams and visitors, and document activity with attention to detail. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and drivers by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter gates to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and yard traffic by verifying credentials, logging entries and exits, and directing visitors and deliveries to the proper check-in areas per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and service calls in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or public services as required.
• Complete shift activity reports and incident documentation, including observations from patrols, access control activity, and follow-up actions per site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
