We are seeking an Apparel Pattern Engineer for an 8-month hybrid engagement in Beaverton, OR. In this exciting project-based opportunity with potential for extension, you'll be instrumental in shaping the fit, form, and function of products that empower millions, ensuring every stitch contributes to an exceptional consumer experience. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate design concepts into tangible, high-quality garments, directly influencing product integrity and consumer satisfaction.

Responsibilities



  • Lead and manage fit sessions, meticulously evaluating garments and communicating precise pattern adjustments to manufacturing partners.
  • Expertly manipulate and refine patterns to achieve desired aesthetic, fit, and performance standards.
  • Collaborate closely with design, sourcing, product management, and product creation teams to ensure seamless product development.
  • Contribute to the design and development of lifestyle apparel, with a primary focus on women's wear, and potential involvement in men's wear.
  • Ensure the technical integrity, manufacturability, and quality of all developed patterns and garments.


Qualifications



  • 5-8 years of experience in a technical designer or pattern engineer role.
  • Expert-level knowledge of fit and pattern manipulation techniques.
  • Proven ability to manage fit sessions and clearly communicate complex changes and requirements to factory partners.
  • Strong understanding of graphics integration within apparel design.
  • Basic knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
  • Demonstrated self-leadership and proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional collaboration and cross-functional communication abilities.
  • A degree in a relevant field (e.g., fashion design, apparel technology) or equivalent practical experience is a nice-to-have.
  • Digital creation software knowledge (e.g., 3D design tools) is a nice-to-have.
  • Prior experience with a major consumer brand, especially in performance apparel, is a nice-to-have.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $59.40 to $66.00 per hour. Compensation is based on several factors, including but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location
