As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will assist with access points, observe and report unusual activity, and provide professional customer service and communication to employees and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, tank farms, loading and unloading zones, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unsafe conditions being reported.
• Monitor access points, gates, and/or badge checkpoints; verify authorization, log entries, and direct visitors and contractors according to site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; request assistance from site contacts and/or public emergency services when appropriate.
• Complete detailed reports and logs of patrol activity, observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns; communicate updates to supervisors and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 6+ months of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Have customer service experience preferred.
• Have access control and/or badge experience preferred.
• Have a guard card and/or license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
