Security Officer - High-Rise Rounds

As a Security Officer - High-Rise Rounds in Chesapeake, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site personnel, and respond to issues with professionalism and care. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out post orders, security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting actions taken, and supporting first responder coordination as directed by site policy.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, tank farms, loading and unloading zones, parking areas, and perimeter lines to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Monitor access control points and restricted areas by verifying identification and/or authorization, observing for prohibited items, and reporting policy violations through the established chain of command.
• Complete security-related reports and logs, operate communication equipment and/or monitoring systems as assigned, and escalate maintenance or hazard observations to site contacts per procedure.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
