As an Allied Universal unarmed Patrol Officer at a government public library location, you will conduct routine foot patrols of reading areas, entrances, and exterior grounds, helping to spot and report security-related concerns. You will remain visible, greet staff and visitors with professional customer service, assist with directions, and communicate clearly during incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a public facility.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior spaces, entrances, reading areas, and exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and public areas, provide directions and assistance, and communicate policies in a professional manner to help support a welcoming environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Complete routine reports and activity logs, use required communication equipment, and coordinate with site representatives and local responders as necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
