Security Officer - Construction Site Patrol

As a Security Officer - Construction Site Patrol in Carol Stream, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support access points, communicate clearly with site teams and visitors, and document observations using technology as needed. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a logistics and distribution environment.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the facility, shipping and receiving areas, trailer yards, parking areas and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access control points by verifying identification and/or credentials, managing visitor and driver check-in, and directing deliveries to appropriate docks or staging areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, contacting site management and/or emergency services, and supporting evacuation or shelter instructions as directed.
• Document security-related activities, incidents, patrol findings and policy violations in reports and logs, and communicate relevant information to oncoming personnel and site leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
