Job Description




As a Security Officer - DoD Patrol Clearance Required in Uniondale, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at an aero and defense location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, while providing professional customer service and clear communication. You will document observations, respond to access and alarm activity, and support site teams with integrity. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate for an aero and defense location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, common areas, and the exterior perimeter, noting unusual conditions and helping to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and visitor traffic, verify identification and/or authorization as required, and document entries and exits according to site policy.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications and coordinating with site contacts and/or public responders when needed.
  • Complete detailed shift reports and incident documentation, communicate observations to oncoming personnel, and support audits of access logs and other site records.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
